SUMMARY

We are seeking a Hardware Technician who is energetic, self-driven, and detail-oriented. The Hardware Technician provides support and maintenance of technology equipment and IT assets for prototype:IT staff and customers. This includes installing, configuring, diagnosing, repairing, and troubleshooting hardware and software equipment. This is a great opportunity for individuals seeking to expand his/her skills in the IT field.

MINIMUM SKILLS REQUIRED

  • High school diploma required

  • Minimum one (1) year customer service experience

  • Pursuing post-high school education in IT discipline

  • Relevant IT work or extra-curricular IT experience

  • Experience with Windows 7, 8, and 10, and laptop/desktop components

  • Self-directed and able to work independently

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Strong planning, organizational, and communications skills are essential

  • Basic understanding of computer hardware and software

THIS POSITION ENTAILS

  • Perform shipping, receiving and processing for hardware, software, and other office items

  • Apply images and install and configure applications

  • Diagnose hardware and software issues, and work with vendors to replace or repair hardware as needed

  • Tracking work performed in ticket management system

  • Organize, track, and manage hardware and software inventory

  • Perform various office and administrative tasks as needed
